My gf and her friends went to one of the shop in Novena valley to have steamboat. It was near “Zheng Fa Huo Hai Xia” which need just 5mins of walk from Novena Mrt.
If you could not recongise which is the shop, below is one of the front view of the shop.

There are 4 different soups for the customer to choose and there are a different types of dish for us to choose from too. And according to my gf, this is the best soup she ever had compare to other steamboat in Singapore. The tom yum soup wasnt very oily and it taste spicy and sour too.

Kim's Family Resturant

My poly friend and my gf went to Kim's Family Resturant on one of our holiday.
It was introduced by Priscilla who always went down there with her family.

Whatever you order, you will always get this as your side dishes.

This is one of our favourite :)

In the resturant, you can asked for to bbq the meats by yourself or request them to help you bbq-ing.

This is really nice and the serving is big too.

Enjoying themselves there.

I was trying to steal my gf's rice when I thought that mine doesnt have rice in it. In fact, it do have, just that it was at the bottom of my dish.

This is my ginseng rice. $17. The soup was very refreshment.

Priscilla have Spicy soup too. Hers was more spicy than my gf.

Other than having your lunch/dinner there, you can also draw or write your message on the wall too.
It was really worth it to try something different in Singapore and I encourage my readers to try it out *Wink

Yeah! That's right, I went to Sakae Sushi at Citylink Mall yesterday with my clique and dear (:
It is to celebrate Daryl's birthday.

We took this promotion and I think it is worth it.

Here are some of the pictures we took.
My dear loves to eat the Salmon Sashimi, however she made a comment about the slicing skill of the salmons.
My favourite sushi is ebiko and Tobiko . (The image is top left hand corner)

We tried this, Unagi Chawanmushi, I love the Unagi (: *You guys might like to try the Kani Chawanmushi instead, because it is nicer.

We guys have forgotten to bring lighter for our candles and the helpful staffs helped us lighted up our candles. *So nice of them and they even helped us to take pictures.
Not even that, I felt that they responsible quickly after we make some request on our dish. (:

Ikea | Tampines

Today, my dardar and I went to Tampines Ikea. When we first enter the Food Court, it was crowded with a lot of people. We took some time and finally found 2 seats there :)
All the food there are very tempting, but I still prefer my meatballs. If thereare more juice in it, it would taste more better. My dardar had Chicken leg and It was nice too.

Ikea is a very interesting place to be explored. It makes you to have the courage to redecorate your furniture once again.

Yuki Yaki | Marina Square

Happy belated birthday Singapore! Yesterday, I went to Yuki Yaki at marina square for dinner. Yuki Yaki is a restaurant that offers you Do-it yourself(DIY) steamboat and teppanyaki buffet, you could also top-up an additional $2 for the ice-cream buffet. Each table has 2 built in stoves for teppanyaki and steamboat. The variety of food is limited with a few different way of marinated chickens, beef, pork, and some seafood like dory fish, calms and prawns plus afew kinds of sushi and vegetables. One thing I do not quite like is the service there. They rarely take initiative to help u refill your soup or change the aluminium foil(for teppanyaki). Dining there was quite average due to the lack of service, and choice of food. But the DIY steamboat, teppanyaki and ice-cream was pretty fun.

It has been a while since my last post, had been busying with projects and stuffs :(. Somehow, manage to squeeze some time for me to blog, so here it goes. 2 weeks backs, My girlfriend and I went to Palawan Beach to celebrate my Birthday. I love beaches, especially the waves and breeze. The Palawan Beach, located at sentosa is well known of the suspension bridge linking the beach to a small "island" which is said to be 'Asia's closest point to the Equator' by Sentosa itself. Its pretty bullshit to me tho. The beach had Ample Tree planted, providing shades for picnic and sandy area wide enough for everyone.

Dolphin Lagoon | Sentosa

This place is included in your ticket price for the Underwater World trip. Dolphin Lagoon is the residence for the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins also known as the pink dolphins. In this simulated natural environment for them, you could enjoy watching them performing their intriguing tricks. The trainer will also give a detailed introduction on their body parts, and behaviours. Then, there would also be a "Meet-the-Dolphin" session for the chosen visitors to have a close interaction with the dolphins fully supervised by the trainers. (This is probably the best part of the whole show) *You would also get a peck from the dolphin on your face during this session!

People there gathers pretty fast, so do get there earlier before the showtime to get yourself a seat

The Underwater World in Sentosa accommodates more than 2,500 sea creatures from 250 different species. Once you enter the Underwater World, the very first stop would be the "Touch Pool" which provides some "touching" experience with fishes, starfish, stingrays, and baby sharks. Next be welcomed by vibrantly colour corals and exotic sea creatures which include spider crabs, jelly fishes, sea dragons, octopus, living fossils and many more. Then venture into the ocean depths via a 83-metre-long moving travelator that ferries you into a tunnel housing stingrays, eels, sharks, schools of fish and a dugong (also known as the mermaid). Looking at Sentosa today, it is diffcult to picture the island was once a fishing village known as Pulau Blakang Mati. Sentosa now, is a very popular island resort located just off the south of Singapore. It is a exclusive combination of leisure and recreational facilities including history of Singapore, family attractions, beaches, golf as well as retreats and hotel accommodation. Personally, I feel that it is a paradise for local residents and a must go destination for tourists.

The apple tree and the boy

This is a story that I had heard of, a few years back. Recently i came across to this story agian, and thought that i should blog it since it is something really true about all of us. So here it goes...

Long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow. He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree everyday.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad."Come and play with me?” the tree asked the boy. "I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees anymore, I want toys and I need money to buy them." the boy replied. "Sorry, but I do not have money, you can pick all my apples and sell them so that you will have money" the tree said. The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. Since then, the boy had never come back. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited."Come and play with me?" the tree asked. "I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?" the man replied. "Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house." the tree said. So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then.

The tree was again lonely and sad. One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted. "Come and play with me!" the tree said. "I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?" said the man. "Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy." the tree replied. So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. "Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you." the tree said. "No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite" the man replied."No more trunk for you to climb on." the tree said. "I am too old for that now" the man replied. "I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots," the tree said with tears. The man then sat down beside the tree and the tree was happy while smiling with tears.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad. When we grow up, we leave them; only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy. You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted; we don’t appreciate all they do for us, until it’s too late.

This is the second time I am dining at Serangoon's branch Astons. There are 3 different type of branch in Astons are namely Astons Prime, Astons Specialities, and Astons Express. What I like about Astons and made me went back is their scrumptious food, good services and value for money. Even though the branch I went is actually just a store located in a coffee shop at Serangoon Garden Way, but their services definitely does not lose to a resturant's service. Today, I ordered a double chicken set. In this set, you can get 2 piece of chicken and 2 side dishes of your own choice. As for me, I had char grilled, and culet chickens, and mashed potato and broccoli for side dishes.

Nature Park Beer Garden | Bishan Prawning

Hey all, today I went to Nature Park Beer Garden for some prawns fishing with friends. It had been fun catching those prawns. There are 4 small ponds and 2 large ponds and also a 24hr coffee shop to dine at. Prawn Fishing is rather fast paced compared to normal fishing. At Nature Park, the fishing rod usually gets hook within minutes(vary on different time and luck). The fishing rod and bait(chicken heart) is provided by vendors. The most challenging part is to get the hook off the prawn as it will attack you with it's pincers, but no worries as it is not painful =D. After finish prawning, you could BBQ them at the provided BBQ pits(there are 6 of them).

Garden Street Kway Chap | Passed on to next generation

This Garden Street Kway Chap is one of the most famous Kwap Chap stall in Singapore. The store had started selling Kway Chap since the 1950s. They had been awarded 6 chopsticks by Makansutra, published in article of a few newspapers, and interviewed in food variety show. However the first boss has retired and passed on to his son, which then lead to a drop of standard. In my opinion, this store now serves a average Kway Chap but there are still many customers. In Garden Street Kway Chap, the pig intestine is slightly chewy and you can even feel the firmness while chewing but the braised innards and the three-layered pork are bland. And their food are a little salty. Contradicting? Nope. They are bland because you cant get the good taste of the pork. Overall, I do not find it worth a try unless you are staying near, and want to taste the different between the first and the second generation.

Singapore Zoo | Animal Haven

Welcome to Singapore Zoo!! The Singapore Zoological Garden uses an "Open" concept which elimates the oppressive cages which is seen in typical old zoos. The enclosures are spacious, landscaped, it is separated from the visitors by either wet or dry moats, and glass barriers. However due to the limited land in Singapore, I felt that Singapore Zoo is actually abit small. But it had made full use of the land it had and made a remarkable zoo with more than 1.6 million visitors in 2008. The zoo opens from 8.30am to 6.00pm daily, make sure you go early so that u could finish visiting all the animals!

Note: Not all animals are caught in the photos! There are some animals that i missed out :(

The Elephant Ride cost S$8 per person. The duration of the ride is about 5-7 minutes only.

In the zoo, there is an area known as Kidz World. It consist of water playground, kampong house, and horse riding for children. There is also some cute animals like rabbit, pony, cows, and goats!

Mushroom Pot

Hello everyone, I'm back for new post =). I went to this restaurant called 'Mushroom Pot' a couple of days ago. I find the food delicious and also healthy! Therefore I'm introducing it to all of you. Despite of the name 'Mushroom Pot', do not jump into conclusion that it only serves mushroom~. There is many other dishes like Tibet Ribs, Codfish Steak With Matsutake, and more. But of course those are the Ala Cartes, if u dont want to have the Ala Carte u can have the Hot Pot Buffet(steamboat) instead. If you are going for the buffet dont forget to order their 'mantou', it is crispy outside and soft inside plus their special sauce, it is terrific!! The price for the buffet is listed at the bottom.

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy speaks to his Class on the Problem Science has with GOD, the ALMIGHTY.
He asks one of his New Christian Students to stand and start a conversation. . .

Professor: You are a Christian, aren't you, son?
Student: Yes, sir.
Professor: So you believe in GOD?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Professor: Is GOD Good?
Student: Sure.
Professor: Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL?
Student: Yes.
Professor: My Brother died of Cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him.
Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill.
But GOD didn't.
How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student is silent)

Professor: You can't answer, can you?
Let's start again, Young Fella.
Is GOD Good?
Student: Yes.
Professor: Is Satan good?

But we don't have anything called Cold.

Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.

Heat is Energy.

Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from a Monkey?
Professor: If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?

you have No Brain, sir.

Marina Barrage | The Dam

The Marina Barrage is a dam in Singapore built across the Marina Channel between the reclaimed lands of Marina East and Marina South. The S$226 million project turns Marina Bay and Kallang Basin into a new downtown freshwater Marina Reservoir. It provides water supply, flood control and a new lifestyle attraction. This structure will provide flood control by changing the tide flow into the barrage.

The Marina Barrage is a perfect place for you to have your weekend with your family or friends. You could have a picnic, enjoy the breeze, flying a kite, and gaze at the spectacular serene of Singapore, most importantly is you will have lots of fun! The Night View is of Marina Barrage is really gorgeous. There is also a water fountain where you could actually have fun with your kids or friends. There are people running around the fountain, splashing water at each other so remember to bring extra clothes if you want to join in the fun, don't think you will want to go home with wet clothes.

Mint Toy Museum

Whether you are a child at heart or an avid toy collector, the Mint Museum of Toys has something for everyone. The Mint Museum of Toys consists of 4 different theme and a cafe at the basement. Every theme showcase different types of toys. It took me about 30 minutes to complete the walkthrough of the museum. After you have done with the admiring of the toys, you could have a break at the cafe. The food there is really nice, definitely worth a try!

After the walk, my dear and I went for dinner at the basement of Mint. The food is so nice, I would love to have it agian =D. The main dishes cost about S$12-19.

This foods cost us S$40.00 (Service charge & GST included). Originally it was S$45 but we used a S$5 dollar coupon that was given to us when we purchased the admission ticket.

Fountain of Wealth

Hello everyone, this is my first post for this blog :). I went to Mint Toy Museum today, and drop-by the "Fountain of Wealth" at the Suntec City while heading there. The Fountain of Wealth is listed by the Guinness Book of Records in 1998 as the largest fountain in the World. The water in the Fountain of Wealth move with an inward motion, and according to feng shui masters (chinese geomancer), the water flowing inwards represents riches pouring in, thus the name Fountain of Wealth. It is claimed that visitors to Suntec City, who walk around the central base of the Fountain three times and touching the water at all times, would gain some good luck of their own. You may want to try it too. Here are some photos I’ve taken there.
